I believe that my 4 Cornerstones of Good Health are the key to great daily self care.
Eat well every day, seasonal, local, organic food. Root veggies in winter, berries in summer etc!
Exercise every day, if you can do it outdoors for a burst of fresh air, if not inside counts too. If you are super busy even 7 minutes will make a difference to your physical health and also your mental health as your body will release happy hormones.
Whether you sit cross legged on the floor, or ‘bed’itate, its good to spend a few minutes, letting your mind drift into a day dream like space. This time will heal you at every level. Did you know when you read a book your mind goes into a meditative space, so reading counts too!
Whether you paint, knit, dance, play sports, cook etc. Do something creative daily even for a few minutes, that fills you with joy, because what can be more healing than that?
