Do you struggle to go to sleep? Or do you wake up at night? 2am? 3am? 4am? And then you can’t go back to sleep? Let me tell you a secret, this happens to me sometimes too and the next day I look and feel rotten!
I am going to share with you a few of my tips for getting better shut eye and I invite you to join my free sleep webinar in November.
Try and have a regular sleep pattern whenever you can. Your internal clock tells you when it is time to sleep and when to wake up. You can end up all over the place if its varies too much and this will make you feel rubbish.
If you have difficulty falling asleep and your mind is buzzing with thoughts in the evening write a diary, or jot those things to do in a note book. Plus read a book in bed, it transports you into another world and calms the mind (I am reading A Girl is a Half-formed Thing by E McBride and it is awesome).
Set the scene for your slumber, no screens in your bedroom and don’t look at them for at least an hour before bed as the light they emit will disrupt your sleep. Avoid caffeine and drink herbal tea like chamomile or lemon balm instead which can promote good sleep so drink some near bed time.
Have you tried homeopathic remedies like Passiflora or Valerian yet to help you sleep? They can be life savers when you are struggling.
When you consistently don’t get enough sleep, it will catch up with you at some point, so it’s really important to manage your routine. It’s all about helping your body and your mind to feel it’s best by getting enough restoration time.
Get in touch with me personally to talk about how we can get you sleeping like a baby.
